Okonomiyaki restaurant in Poland??? Where??? I have to go!!!


Information from my Japanese friend who lives in Warsaw from Hiroshima. And it happened that I come to Katowice from time to time so I came with few friends who live nearby. 

Okonomiyaki is a very popular Japanese dish pretty much like pancake, which has thousands of variations depends on the fresh local ingredients and the ways of preparation. The okonomiyaki in Yo is a variation from Hiroshima called hiroshimayaki which I have never tried before.

Just next to the door, on the window there are some comments: 美味しい oishii means delicious, that made us even more excited about the okonomiyaki...

The design of the restaurant is clean, simple, and enough space for clients.


They also provide some Japanese alcohol...


And the pan they use to make okonomiyaki from teppanyaki is huuuuuge!

This thing kind of surprised us in Poland, fast service!

Gyoza - Japanese dumplings, filling was quite good but the wrapper is a bit different...


Although we were a bit shocked cos we thought it was okonomiyaki XD This lovely small thing is mini, before the okonomiyaki is ready...

The lady from the restaurant made us spicy stir-fried sprouts on this big teppan...




After the dinner we had a long talk with a owner's friend who is helping with the restaurant and he told us about thier idea to spread Asian food culture in Poland, which is also my goal to achieve. They also have some special Japanese alcohol (Japanese whisky, sake and choya) in the restaurant so you can come eat Japanese food and ganbai!
