Hogi, the name comes from Taiwanese language and it means "easy to remember"(hao ji in Mandarin). The owner from Taiwan all the way came to Poland and dreamed to spread the culinary culture here. After various obstacles, finally the dream has come true.
The bar is quite bright in its internal design because the use of the LED lamps.
This is menu not long after opening...the options were not so many yet.
Fruit milk...
I was pretty excited about "gua bao" this Taiwanese street food that accompanied some of my time in university...later on I'll introduce it in my post in Duncan's home kitchen in polish.
The boxes for taking out that Hogi use are mostly microwave allowed...
The setting is very similar to "gua bao" in Taiwan, marinated pork belly, coriander, and peanut powder. Instead of pickled vegetables, they use polish cucumber (ogórek).
Deep fried mantou coated with condensed milk served with seasonal fruits.
Polish "pyza" tastes still a bit different than the homemade mantou.
Stir-fried dumplings with sauce, in Japan they are also called "gyoza".
Chinese style marinated tea egg and "gua bao", together are pretty good take out items...
Oh, don't forget from time to time they have meal of the day, in the form of "bian dang/bento" set.
I had that time chicken breast with rosemary, yeah maybe it doesn't sound totally oriental but was only 8zł...
It's not a place where you go meet friends for a fancy oriental meal which tastes like Polish-Asian food, but rather a place you can pass by few times in a week to try different low priced, fair quality Asian food.
Now they already have few sets of different "bian dang". Have you tried yet?
