Feel like in Asia / Czuć się jak w Azji #3 - Min's Onigiri
Talking about "onigiri", probablly for polish people it's something super foreign. Shortly speaking, onigiri is Japanese rice ball, which has many different kinds of fillings inside, molded in round, ball like or triangle shape, sometimes covered by seaweed, but not necessary. Onigiri is a very traditional, convenient food to take out and travel with, well seen in Japan, Korea and Taiwan, you can say that it serves the exact function like "kanapka / sandwich", thus, you know the importance and prevalence of onigiri.
About the bar, the name comes from Min - a Korean girl who had lived in Japan for a long time and then decided to come to Poznań to open a onigiri bar...wow!
The place is very simple, you enter and then you can see two Asians making fresh onigiri, yeah...freshly made!
The menu looks like this, there are meats, vegetarian, and seafood. Due to more and more vegan and non-gluten free customers, Min will also make special onigiri for them.
Fresh and warm onigiri are gone very fast, usually in the afternoon they are ALL SOLD OUT...
Package for taking out,
And the logo on onigiri...
Have a bite? This one is with teriyaki chicken...
And miso soup, also tasty.
Except Min, the other person who is helping a lot is a Japanese - Shota.
Imagine an Asian girl who came so far away to Poland...and so brave to start an Asian bar..
As an Asian living in Poland, I can only say: Welcome and bring Polish society more new tastes!
Give her some supports! Just come by and grab some yummy onigiri!
